About Core Physics Fundamentals

Physics is the language the universe speaks. Every falling raindrop, every orbiting satellite, every beam of light passing through a window obeys the same set of laws — laws that were discovered by human beings who refused to stop asking "why."

We built Core Physics Fundamentals because we believe those laws should be accessible to everyone — not locked behind paywalls, buried in jargon-heavy textbooks, or scattered across unreliable websites where you can never be sure whether the equation on screen is actually correct.

Why We Exist

We started with a frustration. A physics student searching for a clear explanation of electromagnetic induction shouldn't have to wade through five ad-covered pages with conflicting formulas before finding an answer they can trust. An engineering student designing a circuit shouldn't have to second-guess whether the calculator they found online rounds its results or handles edge cases properly. A curious fourteen-year-old reading about Newton for the first time shouldn't land on a page written by a fabricated author with a stock photo avatar and no verifiable credentials.

The internet has an abundance of physics content. What it lacks is physics content that is simultaneously rigorous, readable, trustworthy, and free.

That gap is what Core Physics Fundamentals was built to fill.

What Makes Us Different

Accuracy Above Everything

Every equation is verified against primary sources — published textbooks, peer-reviewed papers, and internationally recognised standards. Our calculators are tested against known benchmark values with edge cases validated individually. When we say a formula is correct, we mean it is correct to full floating-point precision with every intermediate step shown.

We Show Our Work

Every calculator displays the formula used, the substitution of your values, and the step-by-step algebraic working. Physics is not about getting an answer — it is about understanding how and why that answer follows from first principles. If you can follow the steps, you have learned something.

Ideas Connected Across the Discipline

A page about Newton's Second Law links to the calculator that applies it, the simulation that visualises it, and the biography of the man who formulated it. Physics is not a collection of isolated topics — it is a web of interconnected ideas, and our site is structured to reflect that.

Real Scientists, Not Fake Ones

Instead of inventing fictional PhD authors with AI-generated portraits, we built a dedicated Scientists section featuring the actual physicists whose work we cover: Newton, Einstein, Maxwell, Faraday, Ohm, Tesla, and others. Their published works and verified discoveries are the authority behind every page.

Our Team

Core Physics Fundamentals is developed and maintained by a team of physicists, educators, and engineers who share a commitment to making physics education genuinely useful.

Our editorial and review team includes PhD and MPhil-qualified physicists from recognised universities, each bringing years of academic research and teaching experience across classical mechanics, electromagnetism, thermodynamics, quantum physics, and applied mathematics. They review every article, verify every formula, and validate every calculator on the site before publication.

Our technical team handles the engineering side — building the interactive calculators, physics simulations, and the platform infrastructure that delivers content at the speed and reliability students and professionals expect.

Our Editorial Process

We take content accuracy seriously because errors in physics content have real consequences. A wrong sign in an equation can produce a braking distance calculation that is dangerously wrong. A misplaced decimal in a circuit formula can destroy a component or, in industrial settings, cause a fire. A misquoted law can embed a misconception that takes years to correct.

Research & Drafting

Every article begins with a review of primary sources — original papers, university-level textbooks published by leading academic publishers, and data from standards organisations including NIST, BIPM, and ISO. We do not use unverified internet sources as primary references.

Technical Review

Each article is reviewed by a qualified physicist for factual accuracy, mathematical correctness, and conceptual clarity. Equations are cross-checked against at least two independent authoritative sources. Numerical values are verified against the most recent NIST or CODATA published values.

Calculator Validation

Every calculator is tested against known benchmark problems with verified solutions. Edge cases — zero inputs, maximum values, boundary conditions, sign reversals — are tested individually. Results are compared against at least two independent calculation methods.

Publication & Ongoing Review

Published content is not considered finished. When standards update, when new measurements refine physical constants, or when readers report potential errors, we investigate and correct promptly. Every article displays its publication date and last-updated date.
